Reporting a shortcut that does not work
This is the most useful message you can send. Every shortcut here is verified against Microsoft, Apple and X.Org (freedesktop) documentation and the Unicode charts before it is published, but keyboards and layouts vary more than any documentation admits. If a key combination fails for you, please include:
- the page URL where you found it
- the character you were trying to type
- your operating system and version
- your keyboard layout, for example UK, US International, AZERTY or QWERTZ
With those four lines the shortcut can usually be re-checked and corrected the same week.
Other good reasons to write
A character or language that is missing. Wording in your language that reads like a translation rather than the real thing. Something that does not work with a screen reader or with keyboard only navigation. A request to quote or reuse content, which is usually fine with a link back to Accent Letter.
What this address cannot help with
There are no accounts on this site, so there is nothing to reset, recover or delete for you. Your recently copied list and favourites are held in your own browser and can be cleared from your browser settings at any time.
