Terms of Use
Agreement
By using Accent Letter you accept the terms below. If you do not accept them, please stop using the site. Accent Letter is operated by an independent publisher and is offered free of charge.
What the site provides
Accent Letter lets you copy accented characters and learn the keyboard shortcuts for typing them, and it includes browser based text tools such as Remove accents from text. There are no accounts, no subscriptions and nothing to buy. The site is provided as it is, and features may be added, changed or withdrawn at any time.
Accuracy
Real care goes into the shortcuts. Every one is verified against Microsoft documentation, Apple documentation and the X.Org (freedesktop) Compose tables, and character names, code points and decompositions come from the Unicode charts. Even so, operating systems change, keyboard layouts differ by country and manufacturer, and individual applications override system shortcuts. A shortcut that is correct in general may not work on your particular machine.
Please treat what you read here as guidance rather than a guarantee, and test anything important before you rely on it. Errors can be reported to [email protected] with the page URL.
Disclaimer of warranties
The site and its content are provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or accuracy. There is no promise that the site will be available without interruption, free of errors, or free of anything harmful. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site, including lost work, lost data or lost time.
Character data
The characters, names, code points and properties shown here come from the Unicode Standard, which is published by the Unicode Consortium under its own terms. Individual characters are not owned by anyone and you may use them freely in your own writing, code and design work.
Use of the site
Use the site as any normal visitor would. Please do not attempt to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site or its hosting, do not scrape it in a way that degrades service for others, and do not republish the guides wholesale as your own work.
Quoting and reuse
You may quote from the pages, for example a paragraph or a table of shortcuts, provided you credit Accent Letter and include a working link to the page you took it from. For anything larger, such as reprinting a full guide or translating one, please ask first at [email protected]. The answer is usually yes.
Links to other sites
Pages here link to outside documentation from Microsoft, Apple, freedesktop and the Unicode Consortium, among others. Those sites are not under our control, and we are not responsible for their content, their availability or their own terms and privacy practices.
Changes to these terms
These terms may change as the site changes. The date at the top of this page shows the most recent revision, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the operator country of residence, and any dispute will be handled by the competent courts there. Nothing here removes consumer rights that the law of your own country gives you and does not allow us to waive.
