Windows

Windows: Alt codes

Hold Alt, type the code on the numeric keypad with Num Lock on, then release Alt. Codes with a leading zero use code page 1252 and work in every Windows program. Laptops without a keypad: use the Word method below or copy the character.

Windows: Alt+X in Word and Outlook

Type the hex code and press Alt+X. This works for every form of oe, including the ones that have no Alt code.

Mac

Mac: Option key
