Typing Croatian on your keyboard
The Croatian QWERTZ layout gives č, ć, ž, š and đ their own keys next to the letter block, so the Gaj alphabet is fully typeable without modifiers. The classic difficulty is spelling, not typing: knowing when a word takes č and when it takes ć. On an English or German keyboard none of the five exist, so use the Alt codes, US-International sequences and Mac shortcuts listed here.
