Typing Maltese on your keyboard

The Maltese keyboard has ċ, ġ, ħ and ż on their own keys, so the 30-letter alphabet is fully typeable without modifiers. The dots matter: ż is the ordinary z sound while plain z is /ts/, and ċ and ġ are quite different from c and g. On an English or Italian keyboard none of the four exist, so use the Alt codes, the Mac dot-above dead key in ABC. Extended, or the copy buttons here.
