Typing Estonian on your keyboard
The Estonian keyboard has õ, ä, ö and ü as four ordinary keys on the right-hand side; they are separate letters of the alphabet, not variants of o, a, o and u, and they sort at the very end. Only š and ž, which appear in loanwords and transliterated names, need AltGr. On a foreign keyboard, note that õ is not the Portuguese nasal but a distinct vowel, and use the Alt codes and Mac shortcuts listed here.
