Typing Czech on your keyboard
The Czech QWERTZ layout puts ě š č ř ž ý á í é on the number row and ú ů on their own keys, so lowercase writing needs no tricks. Everything else. ď ť ň ó and every capital. goes through the háček and čárka dead keys, with Shift for the capital. On a foreign keyboard none of that is available, so use the Alt codes, US-International and Mac shortcuts collected here.
